The Chinese Friendly Debate Competition, co-organised by the Project Legacy and the Police Debate and Speech Club, was held on June 27. Regional Commander of New Territories North Lam Man-han, Chief Superintendent of the Personnel Wing cum Deputy Head Ambassador of the Project Legacy Au Yeung Mun-yee, and Counsel Mr Ivan Lee served as adjudicators.

The debate topic was "Should the 'catfising' phenomenon be regulated by law?". Holy Trinity College took the affirmative side, while Diocesan Girls' School argued the negative. After a high-level intellectual contest, Holy Trinity College was crowned the champion. The school's lead debater was also named the "Best Debater". This competition not only sharpened the logical thinking and presentation skills of the contestants, but also helped them understand the important roles of cybersecurity awareness and legal regulations in combatting technology crimes.

The event also included a visit to the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau, allowing teachers and students to understand first-hand how the Force utilises professional techniques to investigate cybercrimes, and how education and publicity enhance public alertness against digital scams.
