The inaugural event of the “Legacy x STEAM” initiative under Project Legacy (Project), titled “S.F. Express Internship Experience Tour”, was held from July 28 to 30, with the participation of 21 senior secondary students from 11 schools.

During the event, students visited the S.F. Express headquarters in Tsing Yi, where they gained an in-depth understanding of the development of the logistics industry, the key focuses of the National 15th Five-Year Plan, the trends in the low-altitude economy, and China’s leading positions in professional fields. The participants also visited the transshipment centre, warehouse, business department, and frontline S.F. station.

In the “Dialogue with Leader” session, students engaged in exchanges with the Head of Hong Kong and Macao Region at S.F. Express Mr Shum Tze-leung, discussing topics such as career planning, the future development of the logistics industry, and digital economy.

Delivering his speech at the closing ceremony, Commissioner Chow Yat-ming stated that he was delighted to see how the “Legacy x STEAM” initiative had created diverse opportunities, including corporate internship, through the Force’s alumni network. He noted that these efforts had broadened students’ horizons and assisted them in planning for the future, fully embodying the partnership between the Force and corporate bodies while creating synergy for promoting youth development. He expressed gratitude to S.F. Express, all the school principals and teachers, the participating students, and the alumni of the Project for their dedication and support. Meanwhile, he announced the appointment of
Mr Shum Tze-leung as an Honorary Advisor to the Project, bringing invaluable perspectives to the programme.
