On July 20, the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of Saudi Arabia (Nazaha) dispatched 60 graft fighters, including investigators, forensic accountants and legal advisers, to Hong Kong for a 10-day professional anti-corruption course organised by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). During the course, representatives from the Force and the Department of Justice were invited to share insights on topics such as integrity management and international collaboration.
On July 29, Senior Superintendent of the Complaints and Internal Investigations Branch (SSP C&IIB) Chan Wai-kei was invited to share the Force’s ethics governance approaches with the Nazaha delegation. The sharing covered the four-pronged strategy in integrity management, as well as the formulation and implementation of various initiatives to uphold integrity, including the Drug Test Scheme and the Financial Screening Scheme.
The exchange provided a valuable platform for the law enforcement agencies of both sides to share practical experience in ethics governance and internal monitoring. It deepened their understanding of the integrity culture and anti-corruption efforts, laid a solid foundation for future international cooperation, and further consolidated the working partnership between the Force and the ICAC.
