Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon West, the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority as well as the Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies (HKAPMC) jointly organised the 2025 Kowloon West Best Security Service Awards Presentation Ceremony on July 9 in recognition of the outstanding contributions from the industry.
The ceremony was officiated by Regional Commander of Kowloon West (RC KW) Ng Lok-chun, Chairman of the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority Mr Yip Chun-nam, President of the HKAPMC Mr Chu Kai-ming, and Advisor to the Kowloon West Best Security Service Election Dr Chan Chi-kau. RC KW indicated in his speech that integrating technology into daily security work has become a major trend, but the vigilance and sense of responsibility of frontline security personnel remain critical. He also affirmed the security industry as a vital partner in safeguarding national security and community tranquility, and commended the industry for safeguarding the well-being of citizens with professionalism all along.
This year’s Gold Award for Best Security Guard was secured by Ms Leung Sui-chun. Owing to her acute vigilance and familiarity with the building’s residents, she timely foiled a “Guess Who” telephone deception, preventing the resident from suffering financial loss.
