The Emergency Unit of New Territories South (EU NTS) held an experience day camp on August 14 and 15. For the first time, the event was organised in partnership with the Tsuen Wan West Community Living Room, drawing over a dozen local participants to foster integration with non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) members from various Regions.
A total of 29 local and NEC youngsters aged between 12 and 21 from 24 institutions built team spirit and gained firsthand experience of frontline police work over the two-day event.
The camp covered national security education, anti-drug and anti‑deception publicity, and anti-terrorism information. In addition, participants were arranged to visit the Police College, where they experienced police duties and the challenges faced by the EU through simulated scenarios.
Furthermore, an intern from the Police Mentorship Programme participated in the planning and execution of the camp to lay a solid foundation for a future career in the Force.
