The Recruitment Division (RECDIV) launched the month-long Police University Recruitment Express (PURE) on September 11. Officers will visit 12 local universities to host campus recruitment events and explain the selection process to students in detail. This year marks the first time that second-year university students are eligible to sit the Probationary Inspector written examination, with evening sessions newly introduced to allow candidates to take the test on campus after classes. Candidates who pass the written examination can formally apply in their third year of university, and those who pass all stages of the selection process will be granted a conditional offer.

Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Dr Law Yuet-wing visited several universities and chatted with students. Furthermore, officers from various Force units and Police Mentorship Programme mentors who are alumni of the respective institutions were present to share their daily police work with the students and cheer on the prospective candidates.
