The Family Conflict and Sexual Violence Policy Unit (FCSV) of the Crime Wing Support Group participated in the inter-departmental simulation exercise on the one-stop service organised by the Social Welfare Department (SWD) on September 28. The exercise aimed to enhance collaboration between government departments and non-governmental organisations in handling adult sexual violence cases. Over 130 representatives from the SWD, the Force, the Hospital Authority, the Department of Health, the CEASE Crisis Centre and RainLily participated.

In her welcome address, Senior Superintendent (Crime Support) of the Crime Wing Chung Lai-yee noted that the one-stop service relies on the close collaboration of various professional disciplines, with each component closely connected to jointly weave a comprehensive protection network for victims.

Under the theme “Working Together, Supporting with Care”, officers from six districts and representatives from other departments deepened their mutual understanding of each other’s work procedures and roles, and enhanced their coordination and response capabilities in handling sexual violence cases through simulated cases, thematic presentations and experience sharing. The exercise also specially covered key considerations when handling transgender victims and cases involving suspected unlawful sexual acts committed under the influence of drugs.
