The Recruitment Division (RECDIV) launched the “Police University Recruitment Express” between September and October. Alongside various units, including the Airport Security Unit, the Counter Terrorism Response Unit, the Force Escort Group, the Emergency Unit, the Quick Reaction Force, the Police Dog Unit and the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force, as well as mentors from the Police Mentorship Programme, RECDIV visited 12 local universities and held recruitment activities at the campuses. A total of over 1 000 Probationary Inspector applications were received in the events, reaching a record high.

During the events, RECDIV officers explained the selection process to students and answered their questions. Commissioner Chow Yat-ming made a personal appearance at his alma mater, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, to show support for the recruitment efforts and meet with the university’s management. In a recruitment talk, he shared his insights on joining the Force and work experience, encouraging students to join the Force.

Additionally, RECDIV will hold the “Hong Kong Police University Recruitment Express (Mainland)” in the Chinese Mainland in October and December. In addition to conducting recruitment talks, selection processes will be held on-site at the campuses. Serving police officers and RECDIV officers will provide insights and share relevant information on the spot.
