Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST) held the “KWT PROTECTOR” security meeting on September 16. Officers from the New Territories South Region, Railway Division of the Operations Wing, Marine Harbour Division, Critical Infrastructure Security Coordination Centre (CISCC) and Inter-departmental Counter Terrorism Unit (ICTU), as well as 27 critical infrastructure operators in the district attended.

At the meeting, District Commander of KWTDIST (DC KWTDIST) Wong Wang-yip presented appointment certificates to the new joiners CSX World Terminals Hong Kong Limited and S.F. Express (Hong Kong) Limited whilst Deputy District Commander of KWTDIST Sze Kin-wai presented letters of appreciation to the security teams of Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Works of the Drainage Services Department and Hutchison Logistics Centre Management Limited for their assistance to the police in case investigations and combatting crime over the past year.

Representatives from CISCC and ICTU were specially invited to the meeting to exchange views with stakeholders and share the latest cybersecurity landscape and counter-terrorism information.

KWT PROTECTOR, which covers six industry sectors, aims to strengthen liaison and cooperation between departments and sectors.
