Holy homage for safeguard of religious relic
(The following letter was sent to the Commissioner of Police.)
We would like to thank your officers for their assistance during the recent Celebration of the Lord Buddha's Birthday and the worship ritual for the Buddha's Tooth relic at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom.
The ritual at the Coliseum was attended by more than 300,000 people. We are especially grateful for the officers' invaluable advice during our preparation work and their involvement in crowd management, traffic control as well as their escort of the entourage carrying the Buddha's Tooth between the airport and the coliseum. We would like to express our gratitude for the wonderful job done by your officers.
