A publicity drive against burglaries and youth drug abuse on Hong Kong's southside was jointly held by Western District Police and the Southern District Fight Crime Committee on July 4.

The drive, held in Lei Tung Shopping Centre in Ap Lei Chau, promoted anti-burglary and anti-drug messages.

The crime prevention bus of the Hong Kong Island Crime Prevention Office was invited to the venue to introduce the latest anti-burglary devices.

Guests included Acting Western District Commander Angela Lau, Southern District Fight Crime Committee chairman Ko Tam-kan and Provisional Southern District Board chairman Mar Yuet-har and Assistant District Officer of Southern District Winsome Au. The event was well-attended by community leaders and residents.
