Mobile billboards promote road safety

CSP T Patrick Lai (uniformed) and legislator Ms Miriam Lau help open the campaign
Police vehicles and taxis are sporting safe-driving slogans under a road safety campaign spearheaded by Traffic Branch Headquarters.

Some 14 police vans and 250 taxis are driving around town with the slogans which warn motorists not to speed or drink drive, and to ensure they buckle up.

The winning entries of a slogan-writing competition, the road safety messages were painted on the side and door panels of the vehicles.

Branch Chief Superintendent Patrick Lai Pak-hay launched the campaign on July 29 with the six taxi associations and a major oil company who co-organised the drive. Legislators and transport officials were also present.
