Swimmers were reminded to take care of belongings while on the beach during a publicity drive by Western District and the Southern District Fight Crime Committee on July 11.
About 30 Junior Police Call members and police officers distributed beach theft awareness messages to beach-goers at Repulse Bay, Deep Water Bay and Stanley Main Beach.
Some 300 giant placards with anti-theft messages were also posted along the beaches.
