Officers thwart extortionists

Our office is situated in a construction site in Lai King Hill Road, Lai Chi Kok (the first phase of Lai Chi Kok public housing estate). On July 5, we were approached by some culprits who claimed to be triad members and demanded protection money.
We immediately made a report to the Police and the case was investigated by Ms Kwok Suk-han of District Anti-Triad Section Team 1, Sham Shui Po, and her colleagues from Teams B and C.
On July 7, the officers arrested two suspects and believed to have smashed an active triad gang in the district.
We are deeply impressed by the professionalism of the police officers, as well as the co-operation between officers and members of the public. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all the officers involved.
