"Sharp" Officers Secure Clinic

My clinic almost became the target of thieves but for the assistance of Sergeants Poon Yau-man and Ng Tung-chiu, and Police Constables Yen Lap-ki and Chan Chan-wing, whose quick reactions prevented the loss of property.

In the early hours of June 11, I received a call from a constable saying the front door of my dental clinic in Whampoa Estate, Hung Hom, was open and the key was left in the keyhole.

I went back to the clinic and checked all the belongings were there before the four officers left.

I was impressed by their professionalism, demonstrating their alertness at such odd hours. Had it not been for their sharp-witted minds, my clinic might have become the target of thieves.

I am most grateful to the four officers who are role models for the Force and I hope they will continue to serve the community with the same enthusiasm and responsibility.

Dr Calvin C.H. Chan
