Sha Tin youth campaign

An Anti-youth Crime Summer Campaign was jointly held by Sha Tin Police Division, Sha Tin District Police Community Relations Office and New Territories South Regional Crime Prevention Office on August 7 and 8 at New Town Plaza, Sha Tin.

The campaign consisted of five main themes, including the promotion of healthy lifestyles and the prevention of youngsters from falling prey to summer job traps.

Kids were also warned of the consequences of shop theft, robbery and criminal damage.

The messages were put across through an exhibition, video shows, poster display and a quiz game held at the popular shopping centre.

A Mobile Publicity Team, including Uniform Branch officers, Junior Police Call members and Kai Shing Management Services staff, handed out anti-youth crime leaflets to the public at participating shops in the Plaza.

An opening ceremony was held to kick off the event.

Officiating guests included Sha Tin Divisional Commander Helen Kwong, and members of Sha Tin District Fight Crime Committee Chu Moon-sing and Tsoi Chiu-hee.

Senior Property and Facility Manager of Kai Shing Management Services Limited Leung Kin-sing was also present.

The event was well-attended by parents and their children.
