Campers urged to ditch bogus discs

Almost 1,500 Junior Police Call members learned the importance of intellectual property rights at this year's JPC Fight Crime Summer Camp held from August 10 to 13.

They took part in fun activities promoting the Police-community relationship in crime fighting, under this year's theme of Protection of Intellectual Property Rights.

Acting Chief Secretary for Administration Michael Suen Ming-yeung and Acting Commissioner of Police Peter Wong Tsan-kwong visited the camp in Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village in Ma On Shan.

They encouraged members to imagine and create their own ideas to get a better understanding and pleasure of creation, and avoid using or purchasing pirated products.

Mr Suen commended JPC members for their contributions to the community and for helping Police fight crime.
