In line with the Government's long term housing strategies to promote wider home ownership for Hong Kong people, the Force Management has directed an education and publicity programme of Junior Police Officer housing benefits to be launched in three phases. The purpose is to raise officers' awareness of existing housing benefits and schemes available to them as early in their career as possible to assist them in acquiring permanent homes.
Now that Phase I and II, which included the production of a booklet introducing various housing schemes for JPOs and the preparation of a training kit, have been completed, a road show (the Phase III programme) is now being organised by the Police Quartering Division, Staff Relations Group and Training and Staff Relations Officers with a view to promoting home ownership.
The road show will be held during three consecutive weekends: September 11-12, 18-19, 25-26, at the Police Sports and Recreation Club.
Highlights of the event include a video show and an exhibition. An enquiry/information session will be manned by the Quartering Division on Sunday afternoons.
