Some tickets are still available for an evening of fine food and dazzling dancing at the Police Officer's Club on Saturday September 4. Helena Ho, the four-times South East Asian Latin-American Dance Champion, will be on hand to demonstrate how you should be grooving, offering some helpful hints. And in between you'll enjoy a special Chinese set dinner.
The dancing starts at 5.30 pm and continues until late, or until your feet ache. Tickets, priced $190 per person, are available NOW from the Club caterers, call 2591-1924 for more details. Be quick!
Application forms are available now at Club Reception for the October 1 National Day Fireworks Display Dinner. Start the evening with a fine Chinese Set Dinner or Western Buffet and then enjoy the best view of the display in town.
One principle member can book one table for a Chinese Dinner ($2,999 for 12 persons, $1,999 for eight) or any number of persons up to a maximum of 12 for the Buffet ($238 per adult, $188 per child). For menu details please contact the Club caterers on 2591-1924. Application forms must be received by September 19. If places are over-subscribed, a ballot will be held on September 18.
Changing room lockers for the 1999/2000 year will be available for rent from October 1 at an annual fee of $200. Application forms are available now at Club Reception. Members who are currently renting a locker must clear it and return the key to Reception by September 20.
We try to keep the swimming pool open during rainstorm warnings, but for safety reasons we sometimes need to close. If you're coming for a swim when the warning is hoisted, why not give Reception a call first (2591-1911) to check on the situation?
