The New Fitness Centre here at the Police Officers' Club is proving very popular, and to make sure that you're exercising safely and effectively, we've arranged a free one-hour gym familiarisation course led by an A.C.E. qualified instructor. And there's no need to book, just turn up on any of the following dates and times - September 28 and 30, or October 4 at 6.30 pm, or October 2 at 1.30 pm. However, members are also reminded that anyone under the age of 16 is strictly not allowed into the Fitness Centre. The complete water power workout and scuba diving courses are proving popular, if you'd like to book or find out more contact Coach Elite on 9881-9017, or pick up an application form from Reception. October 3, lunchtime there's balloon twisting fun - midday to 2 pm in the TSK Hall. Upcoming events: October 31 is the Children's Halloween Party with games, prizes, the spooky Tunnel of Terror, Dracula the Mad Magician, and a lovely tea to finish. Tickets on sale soon. The POC Y2K contingency plan is almost finished (like, what do we do if the champagne runs out?), and for those officers who are not on duty at New Year we will be having a suitably grand farewell to the 20th Century. More details soon.
