Feedback on uniforms I am a Force member and I have some opinions about the uniform. For operational purposes, is it that necessary for the tailor to make the uniforms fit so snugly? Maybe the officers in the Uniform Committee do not experience or understand how uncomfortable it is, especially in summer. The style need not be too fashionable. Yet, the quality should be comfortable and long-lasting. The cloth which is used for the summer uniform now is too thin and not durable enough. I have consulted some of my friends in the garment field and they agree. I suggest measurement cards include information on the basic body types of officers, such as thin build, medium build, large build, etc. That way the tailor can have the uniform made according to different builds. This method is more practical and suitable. The cloth quality presently is too thin and after several washes the uniforms do not fit. In view of this, is it not better to change the quality and method of manufacture? I am not writing to blame anyone but to discuss this, because with improvement, the Force can save money and officers can save time, so the working mood will be much better.
A WSPC Reply from Support Wing The Support Wing is currently conducting a review of the Force working dress. A questionnaire will be circulated to a sample group Force-wide to collect their views. Their views will constitute the blueprint of our new Force working dress.
