Adventure of a lifetime! . . .

The Police Adventure Club's 23rd Police Mountain Marathon takes place January 15 to 16 and all interested officers are now being invited to enrol. The competition will be an orienteering-style endurance run requiring competitors, grouped in pairs, to carry their own (restricted) gear along a 50-kilometre designated rural route in two days.

All competitors will have to camp overnight and prepare their own food and drinks.

Competitors will be divided into multiple categories and trophies will be awarded to the top-three place-getters in each. Entry is $120 per team ($160 for non-Club members).

For inexperienced competitors, an introductory seminar will be held including tips on map reading and the correct use of a compass and other equipment. Application deadline is New Year's Eve so call Patrick Chan Kam-hoi on 2860-4038 for enquiries.
