Cheung Sha Wan Acting Divisional Commander Mark Foster and his officers received a banner of thanks from restaurant proprietor Lee Hung on November 8 in recognition of their swift action in arresting a thief.

Police Constables Tse Hon-kit and Hau Chi-wai of Patrol Sub-unit Team Four were patrolling near the Castle Peak Road restaurant in the afternoon of August 28 when they spotted a man acting suspiciously.

He tried to snatch $2,000 from the restaurant's take-away dimsum stall outside and the officers arrested him immediately.

He was convicted and sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
