Front row: PBC head Foo Tsun-kong catches some of the action at the POC

The finals of the Police Annual Badminton Championships were held at the Police Officers' Club on February 19.

This year's event attracted a record number of participants which, along with some regulation changes, helped make the championships the most competitive, challenging and exciting ever with more than 130 players competing in nine categories.

Lo Yuen-yi of the Information Technology Branch won the Ladies' Singles title, while Police Constable Wong Hoi-yiu of Tin Sum Division took out the Men's Singles (Open).

The pairing ITB's Inspector Kan Shu-keung and Woman Sergeant Tsiang Mong-yee of MTR District won the Mixed Doubles event.

Police Badminton Club chairman Foo Tsun-kong officiated at the event and prizes will be presented at the up-coming PBC Annual General Meeting. The next championship is scheduled to start in August.
