Viva Las POC, the King hits the Club!

There'll be a whole lotta shakin' going on at the Police Officers' Club on Saturday August 19, as we proudly present An Evening with Elvis. A sumptuous international buffet will be followed by a goodtime rock n' roll band, and a host of top Elvis impersonators from around the world. Tables of eight or 12 are available, and ticket prices are $260 for adults and $180 for kids under 12. Price includes a lucky draw. This is sure to be an unforgettable evening and tickets are limited, so book now on 2591-1924. Rock on! After the success of the last Family Day, we're having a Sunny Sunday at the Club on July 30 with balloon-twisting fun, a juggler, bouncy castle, wine tasting from 2 - 4 pm, and a movie on the Verandah Bar big screen at 3 pm - "First Option".

We have just introduced a new "Guardian Pass" scheme for busy parents. This will allow Members' children under 10-years-old to use the pool accompanied by a nominated guardian. Each Principal Member's family may apply for one pass only, and it can be used for the following swimming sessions: Mondays midday - 3.45 pm; and, Tuesdays and Fridays 8 - 11 am. The pass will remain valid for two weeks from July 17 to 29. Application forms are now available from Reception.

As the Club gets busier over the summer, parking gets more difficult so why not take advantage of our great new Taxi Fee Rebate Scheme for Members. Take a taxi to the Club, get a receipt, and then register it within three hours at the Reception/Wine Shop. You can use the receipt for a $30 discount at any catering outlet (TSK Hall, Beat Cafe, Verandah and Poolside Bars). Thinking of having a major celebration between now and the end of August? Well, the great news is any function over $10,000 held at the Club in that period will receive a 10 per cent rebate - some extra shopping money for your honeymoon, perhaps! Contact the Assistant Manager on 2591-1930 for details on this fabulous offer.

A few places are left for the Summer Roundabout Course from July 24 - 28, or July 31 - August 4 (every morning from 9 am-midday). Swimming lessons also available every day at 4.30 pm - call Coach Elite on 9813-9444.
