International Host Family

AFS Intercultural Exchange is an international non-profit making voluntary organisation which organises overseas exchange programmes for young people. Through experiencing life in a foreign country while living with a local host family, the programme aims to enhance and deepen understanding of each other's culture.

Apart from organising student exchanges, AFS also invites families to host overseas students. AFS calls for your participation in the exchange programmes as host families, who will have the opportunity to meet students with different language and cultural backgrounds from all over the world. For details of the host family programme, please contact Judy Lee of AFS at 2802-0383 ext-103.

Since 1982, over 50 countries have participated in the Hong Kong AFS scheme. This summer, 12 police children have been awarded sponsorship from the Police Welfare Fund to take part in the AFS Summer Programmes in Switzerland, the UK, Canada and Australia. As in previous years, McDonald's will sponsor in the next academic year one child of a JPO to join the AFS One-year Programme.
