To live is to dive

Complaints and Internal Investigations Branch Clerical Assistant Eaton Yeung Leung-hei reflects on his recent introduction to the world of open-sea diving

When I was a child, I looked forward to learning how to dive. Recently, I applied for an open water diving certificate and joined a course organised by the Police Diving Club from September 22 to 24.

During the three-day course, 21 trainees got a chance to dive in waters off Sai Kung and with the assistance of our instructors, we passed the diving test and got our qualifications.

On the last day, we got the opportunity to dive on our own and we were deeply impressed by the beautiful underwater scenery, not to mention the tonnes of fish and shrimp we caught for dinner.
