CP Eddie Hui receives a momento from JPOA Chairman Lau Kam-wah at the ceremony

Commissioner Eddie Hui Ki-on officiated at the 14th inauguration ceremony of the Junior Police Officers' Association on October 27, his last before retiring in January.

Delivering his speech, Mr Hui said: "Being a vital consultative body, the JPOA has always been fully consulted in the formulation of Force policies with relevance to JPOs."

"These have included the review of working hours, issues related to the Civil Service Reform, changes to housing benefits as well as improvements to internal communication within the Force."

Mr Hui called on Association members to participate in the Living-the-Values Workshops and forward views and suggestions to further strengthen the Force.

JPOA Chairman Lau Kam-wah and Founder-President Maria Tam Wai-chu also addressed the gathering.

Other guests of honour included the JPOA's honorary legal adviser Foo Tak-ching, along with Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Peter Wong Tsan-kwong and Deputy Commissioner (Management) Tsang Yam-pui. Other senior officers also attended.
