Open Day garners $7m for charity
 CP Hui presents the cheque to the Community Chest |
Commissioner Eddie Hui Ki-on presented the Community Chest with a cheque for $7 million on December 11, raised at the recent Police Open Day extravaganza at the Police Training School.
Mr Hui passed the cheque to the Chest's Executive Committee Chairman Lawrence Yu and Campaign Committee Chairman John Chan, along with Open Day Organising Committee Chairman Wilfred Lam.
The proceeds, raised through admission ticket and souvenir sales, would be passed on to a host of worthy charities through the Chest.
