Overseas summer study ballot results

The open ballot for the 2001 Police Welfare Fund Sponsorship - Overseas Summer Programmes for Children of Police Officers was drawn by Senior Police Welfare Officer W.C. Wong at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on February 24, with over 200 parents and children present. The 15 names drawn were:

Intensive English Language (Australia) - Three Places
1) YEUNG Wan-yin. 2) WONG Hei-yin. 3) CHAN Hung-kit.

Cultural Exchange and Homestay (New Zealand) - Five Places
1) CHEUNG Ching-man. 2) CHAN Wai-yu. 3) WAI Pui-sze. 4) IP Yan-yuen. 5) LAU Wing-yiu.

Environmental Work Camp and Homestay (Switzerland) - Four Places
1) MAK Ka-chun. 2) HUI Nga-yan, Maisy. 3) CHAN Hiu-kwan. 4) LO Chun-yi.

Youth Conservation Work (U.K.) - Three Places
1) YAU Wan-chi. 2) WAI, Melody. 3) FONG Shu-kai.

Successful sponsorship of the programmes is subject to the students passing the assessment interviews by AFS Intercultural Exchanges, the programme organiser. The reserve list can be viewed on PEN or POINT. For enquiries, please call the Personnel Services Branch Hotline 2804-1111.
