Considerate care appreciated

(This letter was sent to OffBeat)

My husband, Senior Police Constable Hoi Chun-nam of Yau Ma Tei Police Station, fell into a coma after suffering a stroke while on duty in February, 1999. He stayed in Kwong Wah Hospital for a year before transferring to Wong Tai Sin Hospital for follow-up treatment where he remains.

I am deeply impressed by the Kowloon West Regional Police Welfare Office staff who visit my husband and am also grateful for their help to my daughter and I. My special thanks go to Senior Police Welfare Officer Chan Chi-kwong, Police Welfare Officer Kwan Tat-kam, Senior Inspector Li Siu-mi, Sergeant Yim Kwok-wing and Senior Police Constable Li Tat-chi.

Mrs Hoi
