PTS passouts

Nine Probationary Inspectors and 91 Recruit Constables passed out from the Police Training School, April 21.

For the first time in his capacity as Commissioner, Tsang Yam-pui oversaw the parade and commended the graduates for their perseverance and stamina in completing the grueling training.

"I wish to build the Force as a large family in which its members understand and support each other, and work together for the common goal of serving the people of Hong Kong," Mr Tsang said in his speech, reiterating frontline officers were the Force's most treasured asset and the key to successful maintenance of law and order.

"I hope you will meet the challenges and give your best to the community to win the Government's approval and the people's support."

Mr Tsang said the Force had been enhancing recruit quality, and formulating strategic and comprehensive training policies to ensure top public service.
