Businessmen rate the Force highly

The Force has been voted the best police agency of 12 major Asian locations.

Businessmen working in the 12 places were recently surveyed by the Political and Economic Risk Consultancy.

The results, announced in the latest issue of its independent fortnightly report released on May 30, revealed that on a scale of zero to 10 (zero being the best grade possible), the Force scored 2.97 for its quality, accountability and standards.

Hong Kong was closely followed by the Singapore police which scored 3.17 and Japan with 4.00.

Deputy Commissioner (Management) Dick Lee Ming-kwai hailed the findings and praised the good work of staff.

"These excellent results clearly show the Force has maintained its top status as one of the finest forces in the world," Mr Lee said.

"And I am sure the encouraging news will not only boost morale but also make us even more determined to provide even better services to the public."
