HKSAR turns four amid strong wind signal three conditions

CE Tung Chee Hwa meets the throng of spectators

Unsettled weather failed to dampen the efforts of scores of Force officers during the ceremony commemorating the fourth anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on July 1.

Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui joined Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa, Central and SAR Government officials and scores of guests for the flag raising ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square, outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Police Band provided the music as various uniformed disciplined services officers participated in the flag raising and march festivities in wet and windy conditions with the number three strong wind signal hoisted.

Meanwhile, officers were also busy outside the venue ensuring the smooth and secure running of the ceremony by keeping crowd and traffic flow in the vicinity smooth.
