Apply now for the 2001 shuttlecock slam!

The Police Badminton Club is holding its annual championships from September 3 to 22.

The competition is recognised as a major internal sporting event and approval has been granted for participants to seek authorised absence from duty from their formation commanders (in accordance with HQO No. 2/2000 Pt. 1).

All Regulars, Auxiliaries and their civilian colleagues are eligible and most welcome to participate.

No entry fee is required and each participant will get a fine souvenir.

Similar to last time, this year's competition comprises the following events:

(a) Men's Singles (in age group)

Open (18 years or above), Senior (30 or above),

Veteran (37 or above), Master (44 or above) and

Grandmaster (51 or above);

(b) Men's Doubles (by grade);

(c) Ladies' Singles;

(d) Ladies' Doubles; and

(e) Mixed Doubles.

Full details of the tournament and entry forms can be obtained from respective Training and Staff Relations Officers. They are also available at the Police Sports and Recreation Club and the Police Officers' Club reception counters.

Entry deadline is August 18, so don't miss the chance to show your talents and win some top prizes.
