Students Para Para for charity

The Sha Tin "Fight Crime Charity Walk" held on April 22, organised by the Sha Tin District and the Junior Police Call, raised $270,000 for the Community Chest thanks to the participation of more than 3,500 primary and secondary school students and parents.

The cheque was presented to the Community Chest by Acting District Commander Chang Mo-see together with seven ST JPC Hon. Presidents on July 7 at the "ST JPC Anti-juvenile Crime Game Stall Competition cum Fight Crime Walk Charity Presentation Ceremony".

In addition, on July 14, the ST Police and JPC organised a "Help People to Help Themselves - Anti-drug Abuse Para Para Dance for the Community Chest" programme to promote the anti-drug abuse message which raised some $16,000 for the Chest. Kiangsu Chekiang College won the Para Para Dance competition.

Officiating guests included DC Ian Peggs and representatives of other district organisations.
