Robotcop braves elements for students

Fans, young and old, welcome the ever-popular Robotcop

In an effort to increase students' awareness of crime prevention and personal safety, the Mobile Display Section of the Crime Prevention Bureau (MDS CPB) together with School Liaison Officers from the Police Community Relations Office of the Border District organised several "Robotcop Shows" for 1,400 students, aged between 7 and 14, attending 10 remote primary schools in the Border District between May and July this year

Most of these students live in the Mainland and have to cross the boundary check points at Huanggang or Sha Tau Kok to go to school here every day.

Despite lengthy travelling time and arriving at schools soaking wet during the rainy season, MDS officers felt a great sense of job satisfaction, bringing laughter as well as knowledge to students via the ever-popular Robotcop. After the summer vacation, similar crime prevention educational activities will continue.
