A compliment from afar

In February a Chinese-Danish man was witnessed falling from a footbridge.

Upon receiving the report, Woman Senior Inspector Yeung Wai-kuen of Wan Chai Division set about locating the injured man's family, but to no avail, as identification items, a Danish passport and a credit card, bore no residential details. Meanwhile, the man had slipped into a coma in hospital.

Undeterred, WSIP Yeung doggedly pursued lines of inquiry during her own spare time, eventually locating the injured man's parents in a small town in Denmark. The couple immediately flew to Hong Kong to care for their son, extending their gratitude to the Force in a card to the Wan Chai Division upon returning home.

WSIP Yeung's actions are surely a living testament to the Force's motto: "We serve with pride and care".
