Central District officers and JPC members distribute fight crime souvenirs

Police Central District staged an event in support of the "Help People to Help Themselves" drive in Central on July 24. An integral part of this year's Fight Crime Campaign, which has adopted the slogan "Join Us to Fight Youth Crime", the event was aimed at advising youngsters against abusing psychotropic drugs and joining triads. It also advised caution when seeking summer jobs.

Officiating at the event were Central District Commander Wong Pak-nin and Central and Western District Fight Crime Committee Chairman Chan Hay.

Souvenirs and leaflets supporting the campaign were distributed in Central with the assistance of Junior Police Call members.

Kowloon City District also launched a "Help People to Help Themselves" campaign at Hung Hom Police Station on July 28.

Of the 100 Fight Crime Ambassadors enrolled as a result of the campaign, 80 attended the presentation ceremony to receive appointment letters.

The proceedings concluded on a high note after officiating guests including District Commander P.C. Burbidge-King and Ambassadors hung a fight crime painting aimed at circulating the message further on the outer wall of the station.
