Distinguished guests participate in celebration at HKCEC

A ceremony to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the People's Republic of China and to mark the conclusion of a cultural exchange to Beijing and Xinjiang in July was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on September 19.

Distinguished guests included Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa, Acting Commissioner Lau Yuk-kuen and Deputy Commissioner Management Dick Lee Ming-kwai.

Disciplined services officers, teachers, students, scouts, including eight junior police officers led by Assistant Commissioner Personnel Tang King-shing, participated in the cultural exchange.

Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong Ji Peiding presented cultural exchange certificates to representatives of the disciplined services who in turn sang a song at the ceremony.
