Selected segments of the Chinese version of popular Force TV show "Police Magazine" have been broadcast from buses installed with the RoadShow "Multi-Media On Board (MMOB)" system every Saturday since August.

With the aim of passing crime prevention messages and road safety tips to bus passengers, these broadcasts have been rescheduled and are now transmitted on Thursdays.

To publicise the revised broadcasting schedule, a ceremony was held at Sham Shui Po Police Station attended by a number of guests including Chief Superintendent Public Relations Charles Wong Doon-yee, Radio Television Hong Kong Public and Current Affairs (TV) Section Head Kit Wu and MMOB system service provider RoadShow Productions Limited representative Eric Yeung Chun-yiu on October 11.

Officiating at the ceremony, CSP Wong stated that the aim of broadcasting the "Police Magazine" segments on buses was to further enhance public awareness of the latest modus operandi of criminals, and to provide fight crime tips. He also expressed his thanks to the Radio Television Hong Kong for providing footage from the show.

Police Public Relations Branch TV and Films Liaison Section Woman Chief Inspector Pamelia Choi Po-pui said that the initiative offered a new avenue for disseminating crime prevention messages to the public en masse.

"The TV segments are now being broadcast about 16 times every Thursday in loop form on 2,400 buses installed with the RoadShow MMOB system," she added.

So, next time you get on a bus with the RoadShow MMOB system installed, don't be surprised if you see the faces of our charismatic "Police Magazine" presenters on the monitors.
