An Open Day 'friendly'

Force athletes, led by Director of Operations Ng Wai-kit and Police Headquarters Senior Superintendent Operations Suen Kwai-leung, took part in two friendly matches with officers of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) as part of the Open Day at Stonecutters Island barracks on October 1.

Following an opening ceremony, where souvenirs were exchanged and photos taken, a soccer match was held. The game ended with the result 1-1. The other heated competition was a basketball match which saw the PLA team defeat the Force team 93-73.

Both teams played in the true spirit of good sportsmanship and all involved enjoyed the event. It is hoped that future such exchanges will further promote better communications and friendship between the two sides.
