  • A letter was sent to a Chinese-languagae magazine to refute its report published on November 28 alleging that some Tuen Mun officers cheated in the Annual Fitness Test. The letter noted that the cheating method mentioned by the magazine was infeasible and that the test was fair and just.

  • A letter was sent to a Chinese-language newspaper on December 1 stressing that in comparing the number of police officers applying for bankruptcy with those of other Government departments, the establishment of various departments should be taken into consideration.

  • A letter was sent to another Chinese-language newspaper on December 6 in response to a reader's comments about OffBeat. The letter explained that a variety of stories were chosen for OffBeat to meet the different interests of police officers, the media and the public and that staff representatives were members of the OffBeat Editorial Committee.
