Assistant Commissioner Crime Peter Yam Tat-wing presented certificates to 24 graduates of the Standard Crime Prevention Course held by the Crime Prevention Bureau last month.

The 24 successful candidates were specially chosen from 119 applicants after a stringent selection procedure. During the six-week course, the trainees undertook professional training, site visits and practical attachments to various Regions. Senior Woman Police Constable Wong Sui-kum from the New Territories South Juvenile Protection Section topped the class in the final examination.

Mr Yam also presented souvenirs to 10 guest lecturers, who are experienced professionals in the security industry and a source of great assistance to CPB in running the course.

As the course generates benefits and opportunities for officers, the Bureau will hold a similar session at the end of the year.
