Thieves posing as customers

A Yau Ma Tei used jewellery and watch shop owner presented pendants to Yau Ma Tei officers after they successfully arrested and prosecuted two thieves posing as customers in two separate incidents which occurred in August 2000 and December last year.

The robber in the first case was arrested after a short pursuit by the Yau Ma Tei Divisional Patrol Sub-unit 4 (photograph below) while the one in the second case was arrested following investigation by the Yau Ma Tei Divisional Investigation Team 2.

Yau Ma Tei Divisional Commander Wong Wai-fung and officers of the two teams received the souvenirs last month.
