Badminton competition
The New Territories South badminton team won the Tsang Yam Pui Trophy for the third time in a row after beating Hong Kong Island at the 2001 Inter-Regional Badminton Competition held last month.
Marine and Kowloon West Regions were joint second runner-up.
Organised by the Police Badminton Club, last year's competition attracted more players and supporters in its 10-year history. Apart from the men's double and mixed double divisions, a new special double division was introduced into the competition for the first time last year.
Those who took part in the special division had to meet one of the three criteria:
Commissioner Tsang Yam-pui, who officiated and presented prizes at the event, also took the opportunity to demonstrate his prowess with fellow officers.
