Force-wide Consultation Exercise

In connection with the Administration's ongoing Review of Civil Service Pay Policy and System in December 2001, a month-long Force-wide consultation exercise was launched from April 22, this year.

Views may be submitted until May 25 (Saturday).

The Commissioner and Senior Force Management fully support this review, and are keen to encourage views and feedback from as wide a range of Force members as possible. This includes both disciplined officers and departmental civilian staff.

Details of the consultation exercise are available through PEN and POINT. Members of the Force wishing to submit their views are strongly encouraged to pass them to their TSRO or DEO or staff associations as appropriate, where they will be consolidated and forwarded to Police Headquarters.

The consultation process and handling of submissions is being overseen by a Force Working Group, chaired by the Assistant Commissioner Personnel. Thereafter a Force Steering Group, chaired by the Director of Personnel and Training, and representatives from major formations and staff associations, will consider the views submitted and prepare an appropriate response to the Administration and Review Task Force.
