Opportunity to provide surveillance support service

Physically fit officers holding the rank of Police Constable and interested in providing surveillance support services now have the opportunity to join the Surveillance Support Unit of Criminal Intelligence Bureau (CIB).

Those who meet the criteria and are selected by CIB will receive in-house training and will be responsible for the provision of dedicated and professional surveillance support services including static surveillance, and covert photographic and video support.

Officers who are able to swim, have a good record of service, have attended Police Tactical Unit course or Standard Criminal Investigation Course at their present rank and passed the Revolver Qualification Course are eligible to apply for the post.

Applicants will be required to attend a pre-selection session later this month. Suitable candidates will be required to attend a medical examination and participate in a 3-day selection course in June.

Successful candidates are expected to serve in the post for at least four years.
