• Kids' Penalty Shooting Competition

  A Penalty Shooting Competition for kids was successfully held at POC on four consecutive Saturdays starting on June 1. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals were awarded to the winners listed below.

• Mini-world Cup Soccer Competition

  To capitalise on the World Cup fever, POC organised for the first time an Indoor Soccer Competition for youngsters. Response was overwhelming. On June 23, altogether four teams took part in a 5-a-side soccer competition. The teams were accordingly named Brazil, Germany, Turkey and Korea. The outcome was similar to the results of the official World Cup 2002. The POC's Brazil team, with players comprising Michael Lui, Richard Ma, Melvin Lui, Chan Lok and Timothy Bradbrook, won the POC Mini-World Cup; and the 1st runner-up was the German team made up of Benjamin Leung, Zerlina Leung, Javier Leung, Darian Leung and Richard Yau. The award for best player went to Javier Leung, who was the goal-keeper of the German team.

  POC wishes to thank all the volunteers, including HKFA referee, Mr Kelvin Wong; and Wah Yan Primary School team goal-keeper, Hui Wan-fung, for their support and contribution towards the success of POC's soccer competition.
