Yau Tsim's good citizens lauded
Yau Tsim District Commander, Mr John Bicknell, together with Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Yip Kwok-chung and District Councillors, Messrs Chiu Yue-hei and Lau Chi-wing, in a ceremony last month, jointly presented certificates and cash prizes to 19 good citizens of the district.
The recipients were praised for their "high standard of alertness and courage which resulted in the detection and arrests of suspects involved in 18 criminal cases, and also in the timely prevention of several violent crime cases."
Following the presentation, representatives of three building owners incorporations/mutual aid committees took the opportunity to present banners and commend officers of YTDIST for successfully closing down two drug dens and arresting 11 suspects involved in drug trafficking activities.
During the ceremony, Mr Bicknell also presented appointment certificates to seven members of YTDIST's Road Safety Campaign Organising Committee.
